Your data, your control
From the start, we’ve designed Questlog with your privacy in mind. Your information is protected through encrypted transfers and secure storage, and you get the tools you need to decide what you share with others.
As mentioned in our privacy statement, we respect the privacy of all our users and ensure that the personal information you provide is treated confidentially.
Visibility controls
Right now, there are three ways to control your profile’s visiblity:
1. Private account – Other users can’t see your profile content unless you accept their follow request. Your username, points, name, and profile picture are still visible.
2. Disable timeline – Prevent your recently completed Quests from showing up on your followers’ timeline.
3. Hide history – Make your profile history invisible to both followers and non-followers.
How to access Privacy Settings on the Questlog app
1. Go to your
profile overview.
2. Tap on the settings icon
in the top right corner.
3. Select the
‘Privacy’ tab.
4. Toggle any
option you’d like.
Instant delete
We follow the instant delete principle for all input data. This means that whenever you remove information, such as a profile picture or your date of birth, it will instantly be removed from our servers.
This is also the case whenever you change your information. For example, we will first delete your old picture before uploading the new one.
Be careful with deleting your account, though… The downside of this principle is that we will not be able to get it back for you.
Request specific data removal
You can delete most of your data yourself. That being said, if you have any specific request, we are happy to help. Drop us an email at support@appquestlog.com.
For security reasons and a quicker process, do this from the email address connected to your account and mention your username.
How to permanently remove your account
1. Go to your
profile overview.
2. Tap on the settings icon
in the top right corner.
3. Select the
‘Account’ tab.
4. Tap on ‘Delete account’
and follow the process.
Account removal
When you delete your account, all your data is instantly removed from our systems and we will not be able to ever get it back for you.
If you have any Builder profiles on the Questlog Builder, you will first have to leave or delete those as well.
To avoid misuse of our referral program, your email address will be stored separately in a ‘Deleted Accounts‘ list for 30 days, after which it will also be removed from there. This does not keep you from creating a new account with the same email address, if you wish to do so.
